Leadership - Inspire Change. Owlypia is an exciting international competition for students aged 11-14 (Owlets) and 15-18 (Owlys). Owlypia aims to inspire intellectual curiosity in every young mind and has a central theme each year.
In Owlypia, students can participate in three competitions: Owlypia Online, Owlypia Local, Owlypia Global(Cambridge University or Harvard University).
By participating in a range of team challenges in five different subject areas, young intellectuals will share their creative ideas, develop their multi-disciplinary academic skills, unlock their potential, build self- confidence, develop collaborative teamwork skills and create new friendships.
Team Challenges: Working in groups of three students face five different challenges in five subjects over 2 days. Team Challenges are Knowledge, Pen Down, Speech-Craft, Impromptu and Team Spirit.
Owlypia consists of five subjects which are Social Studies, Art & Design, Literature & Culture, Science & Technology, and Economics & Business. Students chose one of the subjects and prepare themselves for the competition by using the resources mentioned under that subject.
Yahya Kemal College is proud to be the host this exciting international competition. It was held on 23-24 November 2019 in our Skopje branch. 58 students from Ohri-Struga region, 63 students from the Tetovo region, 115 students from the Skopje region participated in the competition. 116 students were from 11-14 (Owlets), and 120 students from 15-18 (Owlys). First 3 teams from Owlets and 3 teams from Owlys gained a 15% discount for Global rounds which will be held in Cambridge-UK, and Boston-USA.
